Even an ugly war-torn counrty can have its moments.
This is my office. By office i mean a transfer trailer with test benches down the sides of it. Im pretty sure its from the 60s based on some of the equipment left behind by cavemen. But its got central heating and air, lights and even a coffee pot. Ive got some work to do on it, itll come around. 
This is a row of 15 ft. high concrete "T Barriers". They are everywhere... The Surround everybuilding, Line every road and pretty much make every base in Iraq a maze. They were cool and exciting when i first got here, now they just get on my nerves.. You can actually buy a mini version as a momento. Actually if theres anything that would remind me of this place, that would be it. They are icons.

I imagine it's like insurance... really a pain in the butt and a waste... unless of course you actually need them. Let's hope they turn out to be a waste... Enshalla Allah.

Lets just say those 'T Barriers' cost between 1800 - 2200$. Ouch.
