"Flinstone Village"

This is the "Flinstone Village"... Built for the Saddam family children. It is huge, the pictures do it no justice. Made of solid concrete, with an elevator.

Starting to NOT be Hot in Iraq....

This was going to be the "Victory Over America Palace"... That is before we blew it up while it was being built. Saddam apparently believed that America lost the first invasion of Iraq. Who knew?

This is the Perfume Palace. Where Saddam and his sons kept their endless number of girlfriends and wives. So the story goes...

This use to be an Iraqi tank. We blew it up. Put concertina wire around it, left it as it was, so people can go look at what an M1A1 Abrams tank does to old soviet tank.

This is an example of how crude the Army can be on a Deployment. This is a sign hanging inside an MWR (Morale Welfare and Recreation.) Where you go to hang out and relax. The Army tries to be all hardcore with everything over here... Its quite funny.

Blerb before Bed.

So I went out to the Thermometer this morning at 10:00 am... It was only 117 Degrees Farenhiet. And, on top of that, Iraq is having the worst dust storms in the past several decades, and of coarse the Iraq Ministry of the Interior blames Global Warming. (the Iraqis can get away with that because we all know their not the coldest beer in the cooler.)

So, apparently the Stars and Stripes (the military run newspaper) is a big fan of the Clinton News Network (CNN). I quote the Stars and Stripes...

"The United States Government should not be providing the highest quiality of Military training in the world to individuals who hope to use that training in a 'race war' or in an effort to overthrow the United States Government"

"In the wake of several high profile murders by extremists of the radical right..."

This apparent 'Military wide' pandemic of Radical Rightwing Military Terrorists was dreamed up after the 'radical left' found http://www.newsaxon.org/... Of the 7,906 members of the site, 130 had Military as their job listing in their profile. So apparently if 1.6% of a racial group is Military its an overall Military problem. I love how 1.6% is worth a two page full color newspaper article.

What I want to see is an article of the percentage of the Military Obama voters have prior gang ties or were forced to join the Army to avoid going to jail. (less than 1.6%... Doubtful) But publishing an artical with those statistics would not be politicaly correct. I forgot about that....

This is the Septic Waste and Grease trap in the middle of Joint Security Station Ur. It gave the whole base a smell of a French Fries being cooked in a Horse Stable. We named it "Lake WTF"...
